Burt and Iggy

Meet Burt and Iggy. These new bird characters were created by drawing a ‘blob’ with my eyes closed and then adding bird like features – eyes, beak, feet, wings, etc.

As Carla Sonheim says – you can make any shape look alive by adding eyes, and make it a bird by adding a beak. Carla is very creative and you can find her website here https://www.carlasonheim.com These are a lot of fun and allow you to let your imagination go.

New Cross Stitch Designs

Spring Time Cross Stitch Design

Spring Time Cross Stitch Design

Throughout my childhood and early adult years I did a lot of sewing and stitchery. But over 30 years ago, I moved on to do other forms of art. Recently I thought it might be fun to make some cross stitch patterns from my designs. There are 4 designs I am working on and will be making kits from these designs. Here is the first one, it is called “Spring Time”. The original is a colored pencil design.

It has been fun getting back into doing cross stitch. I’ll have some kits at my holiday shows.

Tree Toppers

We are getting close to Christmas and want to share some holiday images from my collection. This one is call “Tree Toppers” as the birds  in Santa hats are all resting at the tops of the trees much as a Christmas tree star or angel would do.

The original was done in colored pencils.
