I have just finished a couple of new birdie designs. These are acrylic on canvas – small square designs.
My 2018 Calendar is made up of some of the acrylic paintings that I have done over the last few years. There are some designs with cats, birds, trucks and houses. The calendar is a desk calendar that sits in a CD case. It is now available on Etsy at www.etsy.com/shop/JWyattArt
I was recently asked to create a painting for the Nourish Restaurant in Sequim. This painting would then be used as the basis for creating coasters, 6×6 trivets and cards. I just delivered the painting and all of these products to Nourish and they are now for sale. I am very excited about this opportunity. Next time you are at this great restaurant, please check out the painting and products.
The newest children’s book that I illustrated is just about ready to head to print and should (fingers crossed) be ready for the Sequim Lavender Festival. Here is the cover of this book. It was a lot of fun to do the illustrations in this book.
Here is my latest painting. It is 18×24 and done with acrylic paint on canvas.
Here is my latest painting. I’m calling it “Tree Lined Road”, done with acrylics. It is 18″x24″.
The 2017 Cat Calendar is now ready. This calendar has 12 designs involving cats. There is a separate calendar page for each month of the year. This desk calendar sits in a CD-like display case holder so that all the months are handy and you just rotate the current month to the front. The original designs were created as acrylic paintings on canvas.
Here is my newest cat design for Halloween. It will be in the 2017 calendar.
I am going to be at the Proctor Arts Festival in Tacoma on Saturday, August 6th. It is a one day show from 10am to 5pm.
Proctor Arts Fest is a community-based street fair on North 26th & Proctor Streets in Tacoma, WA. It has been organized by the Proctor Business District Association, along with community volunteers, for over 18 years. The goal of Proctor Arts Fest is to provide a free, accessible and celebratory experience of the arts for the public.
Proctor Arts Fest attracts approximately 10,000 visitors from Tacoma, Pierce and Thurston Counties and 160 art and crafts vendors every year. In addition to the vendors, it features a Juried Art Show of about 85 art pieces by 60 artists, three stages of live music and entertainment (this includes one stage that is designated “The Family Stage” – organized by personnel of the Tacoma Public Library), a kids area with participation by the Metropolitan Park District, a Farmers’ Market and a merchant sidewalk sale.
Come & enjoy live music and local entertainment, purchase original artwork or a craft piece from it’s maker, browse through the juried art show and let the children create their own original “art”. A great way to get to know your neighbors and practice building your community. Proctor Arts Fest is a family friendly event.
It’s time for the Sequim Lavender Festival. This year is the 20th year for the event. Come check it out if you are in town. I will be at the Street Fair on Fir Street. If you come by my booth I will give you a coupon for Nourish Restaurant that gives you 5% off your entree and a free J Wyatt Art card.
