The newest children’s book that I illustrated is just about ready to head to print and should (fingers crossed) be ready for the Sequim Lavender Festival. Here is the cover of this book. It was a lot of fun to do the illustrations in this book.
Here is my newest cat design for Halloween. It will be in the 2017 calendar.
Last weekend at the Sequim Lavender Festival Street Fair was great. The weather was terrific, although perhaps a little too hot. Many very nice people came to see me and I had a great time.
In addition to having a terrific show at the festival, a customer of Nourish Restaurant, where my paintings are on display, bought some of my paintings. I was very surprised and happy about that. Here is one that she purchased.
The holiday shows are underway. The show in Port Townsend at the Uptown Community Center is going to be the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 28-29th). I will be downstairs of the community center.
I will have journals, calendars, cards, prints, colored pencil originals and acrylic paintings.
I’ll be at the Sequim Farmer’s Market on Saturday, May 31st and have these available – along with the 2015 Cat Calendar. If you are in Sequim, come on by.
Each year I try to do 2 desk calendars. The first one for 2015 is ready to go to the printers. This year it is a Cat calendar. Here a picture of the cover. The calendars should be ready in early June, but I don’t plan to have them at any shows until July. But feel free to contact me if you want to get one early.
I’ve been working hard to get a couple more floorcloths done for this weekend. Here is the latest floorcloth – Cats in the Garden. I’m putting the finish on it as I write this – still have 2 coats to go.
The Coupeville Arts Festival is this weekend, August 10-11th and should be a lot of fun. Coupeville is a great town. Hope you have a chance to make it.
As I prepare for the Edmonds Arts Festival, I have just finished a few new floorcloths, pet food mats and 10×10 mats. These are available in time for the Opulent Art Show on May 1st as well. More are on the way.
I have finished a couple of floorcloths over the last couple of weeks. The “Home is Where the Cats Are” was a commission done in a more vertical/square format, and was based on the original landscape version of the same name.
The “Sunflower” will be a hanging floorcloth. Just need to add the hanging apparatus (dowel and rope).
